Monthly SBAU meeting in Fleischmann Auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
From 6 PM to 6:30 PM there will be AU merchandise available, followed by a short planetarium show from 6:30 PM to 7 PM.
From 7 PM to 7:30 PM, there will be an AU club meeting, followed by our speaker.
Our speaker will be UC Berkeley Distinguished Professor of Astronomy Alex Filippenko, Ph.D., who was a student member of the Santa Barbara Astronomy Club in the 1970s. His topic will be Black Holes, Supernovae, and the Runaway Universe.
This will be a hybrid meeting, so you can attend via Zoom if you wish. Contact our webmaster for the Zoom link (or see the email sent to our current members).
