The Avery Point Astronomy Class (PHYS 1020) together with the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society (TAAS) invites members of the UConn community, their guests and private citizens, to join us for our three nights of sky observations, listed below. 

Weather permitting, we will meet on Wednesdays, at 8:00 PM, on the southwest corner of the lawn by the Long Island Observation platform.

Wednesday, September 24, Deep sky objects (New Moon 9/21, moon set at 7:42 PM)

Wednesday, October 29, Observing the moon (half moon)
