Join us on Friday, November 14 at 7pm for the Dudley Observatory Program & Star Party, rain or shine at the Octagon Barn; outdoor observing to follow, weather permitting: Dr. John Moustakas, Professor of Physics at Siena University will be speaking on Cosmology with DESI (Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument). His research interests are in observational cosmology and astrophysics, to understand how galaxies have formed and evolved in a 14 billion-year universe which is dominated by dark matter, and in dark energy, which is causing the expansion rate of the universe to accelerate.
