Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
After an indoors presentation on the Messier objects and how to find them, we went outside and looked through four telescopes of Tom Epps, Jeff Thornton, David Fontanyi, and George Reynolds. The visitors got to see the almost-full Moon, Jupiter and its moons, the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades, Mizar/Alcor, and other celestial objects. George showed them the Big Dipper, Polaris and the Little Dipper, and pointed out the constellations of Canis Major and Canis Minor, Orion, Taurus, Gemini, and Auriga, and the bright stars Sirius, Procyon, Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, Rigel, Capella, Aldebaran, and Castor and Pollux. Everyone had a good time.
