Look for the planet Mercury low in the eastern sky about an hour before dawn this morning. This will be the highest that Mercury will rise over the pre-dawn sky for the year!
It may be difficult to see Mercury as it is still very low above the horizon, and in the glow of the pre-dawn Sun. However, the bright planet Venus is relatively close by and above Mercury, and so finding Venus can help guide you to Mercury - especially if you have binoculars handy!
