Event

Join the Los Angeles Astronomical Society for free, public stargazing on the Santa Monica Beach boardwalk near Hollister (south of the Santa Monica Pier). We’ll have telescopes set up and our volunteers will help visitors of all ages enjoy the night sky.

Depending on conditions and what’s up that evening, we’ll aim for the Moon, planets, and other bright celestial sights. Feel free to drop in anytime during the event window—the best views are usually after dusk.

Parking: Public beach parking is available nearby (adjacent lot).
Tips: Dress warmly—ocean evenings can be chilly.
Weather note: Observing is weather dependent (clouds/marine layer/wind may limit or cancel viewing).
