Hunter Park

Hunter Park is a location that the Astronomy Club of Tulsa uses for public outreach events. We setup on the flat concrete slab to the west of the parking lot.

Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We were not expecting such a good turnout due to the clouds and the wind but were please with about 50 plus guests, with 6 guests brining out their own telescopes asking us for help with how to setup and use them. We did get a mention on the local Newson6 TV station the day of the event that probably helped, plus the Tulsa Parks department was also advertising the event on social media and on their website calendar of events. The only targets we got to look at was the moon and Jupiter, which both were in and out of clouds. Guests were happy that we did not cancel even though the skies were not optimal that night.
