Event

On Thursday, June 10, 2021, the Moon will pass in front of the Sun, and will be far enough away from Earth that it will not completely obscure the Sun's disc, resulting in a "ring" of light visible for lucky observers in a narrow strip on Earth extending from Canada through Greenland, over the Arctic and into a portion of northern Russia. Observers in the northeastern portion of North America, Europe, and Russia will see a partial annual eclipse.

Observers in northeast North America will need to catch the partial eclipse at sunrise, and an unobstructed view of the eastern horizon will immensely help! More times and details on observing this "Ring of Fire" eclipse can be found in EarthSky's guide: https://earthsky.org/tonight/annular-solar-eclipse-on-june-10-2021/
