Event

Beautiful, star spangled Snoqualmie Point Park (SPP) will be the site of an SAS public star party open to  the public. SAS volunteers will be present with telescopes for public viewing.  All attendees are welcome to bring telescopes they own. Since SPP is about a forty minute drive east of Seattle and away from the city light pollution, the skies are darker and offer a thrilling observing location. City dwellers accustomed to city light pollution should be able to experience seeing the Milky Way.  Astro-imagers:  If you are imaging and would like a place to be separated from the possible light pollution of this Public Event, the Rattlesnake Ledge Trailhead (DNR property) adjacent to the Snoqualmie (city of) Point Park will be available for "members only" privacy.
