Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had a multitude of newcomers and return guests join me on the damn for a wonderful night of stargazing. The conditions were perfect as we toured stars, constellations, galaxies and planets. Many of the folks who participated in the solar program earlier in the day returned, including an entire troop of boy scouts. At one point, the line to view Saturn stretched over 25 feet!!! Folks were engaged and a few were intrepid enough to use the scopes themselves. I am very happy and proud that we had such a good turn out on the last day of the season. I am looking forward to next year.
