Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Tonight was our last Wednesday in the Park event for the Summer. We will start back up at the beginning of September. There were 3 members out, 2 with 2 telescopes and I had the Sunspotter device set up early to show projections of the Sun. In all, we had 10 visitors show up. We were able to show the Sun through Marty’s 10” DOB with a white light filter, then the early setting Jupiter before darkness set in and before it was engulfed in clouds on the horizon. Mars was bright overhead, and we were able to point out a couple of constellations, the double star Mizar, Arcturus and Sirius before clouds took over the sky.
