We will be holding our monthly meeting for members and guests starting at 1:15 in Berline Hall of Hofstra University, California Avenue, 1st floor. Parking is in the lot on Huntington Place across the street. AOS meetings consist of observing reports and guest speakers on astronomy topics.
For our September meeting we are pleased to welcome Professor Or Graur, Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Portsmouth's Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation and a Research Associate at the American Museum of Natural History. Professor Graur will talk about the popular suggestion that the Mikly Way was a manifestation of the Egyptian night sky.
