Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Guest Speaker was Dr. Alex Polanski is a Percival Lowell Fellow at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ, specializing in the discovery and characterization of extra-solar planets. He has contributed to the discovery of dozens of exoplanets through his research, which utilizes a combination of data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and ground-based telescopes to constrain the properties of these distant worlds. His work has helped demonstrate that our solar system is different from many others. Alex has a PhD in Physics from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
