The Winslow Homolovi Observatory Dedicated the Moore Telescope. Mrs. Steven L. Moore (Karin and Daughter Sarah with family and friends), were our guests of honor. A bronze plaque was dedicated to the observatory wall as a constant reminder of the generosity of the Moore Family to the Winslow Homolovi Observatory. Dedication of the Moore Telescope, the heart of the Winslow Homolovi Observatory. The 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope by Celestron with a CGX-L Computerized Equatorial mount and pier was made possible by a generous gift from the Moore Family and supportive members of the Little Colorado River Valley Astronomy Club and community partners. After the dedication the skies clouded over and the reception was held in the Homolovi State Park Visitor Center-Museum. The evening dedication was attended by 38 guests including the City of Winslow Mayor, and local press corps. Light refreshments and cookies were enjoyed by the attendees. After the reception a presentation was made by Mr. Bill Wood, President of the LCRVAC on the newer Seestar S50 and some of the telescopes uses and capabilities.
