Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Five members of AAAP held a clouded out star party. Never the less the 21 members of the public were treated to a wonderful PP Presentation by George and when a few holes opened in the clouds we were able to show Vega, Alberio and even a few deep sky objects including the ring nebula. There was a brief Sun Dog early which delighted two ladies and a reporter that came early. Fred helped a woman (not a club member) set up and use her telescope for it's first light. Even though the sky did not cooperate all the public thank us heartily for coming out. Many of them will be attending our next public star party at the observatory. Before George's talk I explained how telescopes work and handed out the flyers.
