Event

The Amateur Astronomers Group suppported the New Mexico Museum of Space History to host a partial solar eclipse.  We will view the sun and it's partial eclipse in the New Mexico Museum of Space History.  Free solar glasses will be available as supplies last.  The event will occur in the upper parking lot of the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo, NM.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We assisted the local space museum in hosting the 89% partial solar eclipse in southern New Mexico. Attendees were hesitant to view the sun through our solar telescopes but were soon convinced that it would be done safely. The children were excited to see the "Pac-Man" take bites out of the sun.
