Monthly presentation of what you can see in the night sky during the current month. The presentation begins at 8:30 pm and lasts about an hour. Also, observing is held througout the evening, weather permitting, through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Information for Visitors
Instructions for the Public:

Observatory doors open at 7:30 pm. Note that given how late the Sun sets, the sky doesn't get dark enough for observing until about 9:00 pm. The public is welcome to look at the telescopes and see how they opereate before it gets dark. There is information in the classroom in the Observatory for the public to read and view prior to observing and the start of the presentation. If entering the Observatory after 8:30 pm the public is requested to enter the building quietly as the presentation will be in progress.

The presenter provided several pieces of space news such as Betelgeuse having a companion star and comet 3I/Atlas just discovered on Jul 1, 2025, along with information about what planets are visible in the early morning, what constellations are visible, sizes of stars and more.
