The Great North American Solar Eclipse of April 8, 2024, will be an 87% partial eclipse in the Asheville , NC, area.  The UNC-Asheville Department of Physics and Astronomy, along with the Astronomy Club of Asheville, will provide opportunites for the community  to observe  the eclipse with safe solar telescopes and more.
