The Great North American Solar Eclipse will occur on April 8th, 2024.  Although much of the USA will experience a total solar eclipse on that date, here in the Asheville area the eclipse will be about an 87% partial eclipse.  This presentation by club member Bernard Arghiere will discuss this solar eclipse, how and why eclipses occur, and how to safely observe the eclipse in our region.
