(Busy Day)
Event #3 Montgomery County Public Meeting. This meeting was scheduled for City Hall (changed at last minute to Court Room). Using kinesthetic and models to scale participants learned what creates a total eclipse and characteristics of the sun, moon, and earth. Using a model of the human eye, they saw why it is so important to use eye protection before and after the eclipse. Participants were especially concerned about the possible large crowds and the effects left after the event so protocols and efforts to control crowds was discussed. EMS, Sherriff's Office and others were also in attendance.
