Hey Astronomy Fans!

Well, I hate when this happens.  Corinth Elementary wants a STEAM event on the same evening as another scheduled STEAM event on April 3rd.  I asked the coordinator if she could reschedule.  She explained that, by the time she gets word from the PTA, the date is etched in stone.  But, we've been in this situation before and have delivered.  So, let's do that again!  Please consider volunteering!  It is fun and rewarding!  You don't have a scope?  No problem!  You can work the ASKC goodies table and promote ASKC activities!  That's a huge help to those of us that are presenting telescopes. Hello,

My name is Pamela Scifers and I am a member of the Corinth Elementary PTA. We are hosting a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Night at the school on Thursday, April 3rd from 6pm to 8pm. We wanted to reach out to the Astronomical Society of KC and see if you would be interested in having some of your equipment at our event where students can view and explore space. 

I believe members of the society have joined us the past several years and we would love for any volunteers to join us again. Please let me know if someone would be available and interested. Hoping we can still work together on this fun night!

Address of your school: Corinth Elementary School, 8301 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206
Age group of the children attending: K-6 - most kids will be ages k-3 so roughly 5 years old to 10 years old
Approximation of the number of people attending: the last 2 years we have had roughly 100 students come through the event during the 2 hour period.

Volunteers can park in the south parking lot and can setup where they like. Most of the tables will be in the gym. However the last few years, several of your volunteers brought some of their equipment and chose to setup outside and let the kids look at sun spots.
