Event

Unlock the mysteries of our universe, right from your backyard!

When: Saturday, November 16th 10:00am to 3:00pm
Where: Fleischmann Planetarium (1664 N Virginia St, Reno, NV 89557)
Cost: FREE and open to the public

Have you been looking up at the wonders of the night sky, yearning to see more; but, you don't know where to start when picking out a telescope? This is the event for you!

We'll have a Dobsonian, Refractor, and Catadioptric telescope set up in the Fleischmann Planetarium. Don't worry if you don't know what any of those are! We'll be there to share information about how telescopes work, what you can expect to see through a telescope, and to guide your decision on what type of telescope could work well for what you want to see and your budget.

Whether you're looking for yourself or the budding space enthusiast in your friends and family, we'll be happy to help demystify the world of telescopes.

While you're there, consider checking out one of the fun and informative shows in the planetarium dome!
