Members of the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches will have a table at the Palm Beach County Natural Areas Festival  held at the Winding Waters Natural Area on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM, featuring free family activities like guided hikes, paddling, a kids' zone, exhibits, and a 5K fun run to celebrate the county's natural spaces. Club members are asked to take a shift at the club table.  Please email a board member is you are available to help.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The Festival at Winding Waters Natural area ran from 1pm to 6pm. Many people came by and were interested in our plans for the telescopes we were donated by the Jimmy Buffett estate. We stamped children's "passports" and asked them questions about space. Children are increasing well informed.
