This is International Observe the Moon Night or IOTMN for short.  It is out 9th year in participating in this world wide event!

We are part of NASA's world wide event and will be viewing through the Van Vleck Observatory's fantastic 20" Alvan Clark Refractor built in 1922.  This is the real deal and not a reproduction. We are honored to partner with the Observatory to bring you this event,,

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Moon got too low to view from the observatory so we had member with a telescope outside. Meanwhile, inside we were treated to views of Saturn through the 20" Clark!
