Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We saw at least 100 students and teachers, teacher's aides. Handed out solar glasses so that they could look at the Sun. Had 2 telescopes with white light filters to view the sun: 8 inch dob and a 10 in SCT. Talked to the kids about solar observing safety. Didn't get a chance to look at the moon as the Principal came out and said the event was ending early, about 7pm. This school is grade K-8.
