The Leonids Meteor Shower peaks on November 18th from Midnight until 6:00 PM.
The sky is very dark at Heritage Park and Fairgrounds in Windsor, Virginia. There will be almost no Moon (very thin waning crescent and almost new), so weather permitting, this should be a very promising meteor shower.
To find our location inside the park, drive around the horseshoe shaped road until the radio tower (blinking red light) is North of our location. There are signs that try to coax you to Event Parking. Do not take them! Instead, stay on the asphault horseshoe shaped road. the radio tower with the red light is nearly under Polaris, and makes a nice reference. Parking on the paved apron next to the road is available.
Link to our location inside the park: Scroll down just below Sun and Moon information.
