The Top Meteor Shower of 2026 (Best News:  It's relatively Family Friendly on Tuesday Night)

Please come out to Windsor, Virginia in one of the darkest skies in the Tidewater Area.  2026 promises to be a year to remember, with this most active Meteor Shower - the Geminids will be free of moonlight.  This one is a MUST SEE especially if you missed the Perseids Shower in August.

Geminids (December 14th) - with the Moon a waxing crescent and a zenith hourly rate of around 150, the Geminids should deliver the year’s best, most reliable show from late evening into the pre-dawn hours.

Maximum Dec 14th 19:00 to 23:59 (family friendly)        ZHR 150 some slow fireballs predicted

(moon waxing crescent should not interfere)                   Parent Obj:  3200 Phaethon (Asteroid)
