Saint Patrick Catholic School is hosting our annual Earth Day celebration on Wednesday, April 29th from 9:00–11:30 a.m. Each year, we welcome approximately 20 organizations and individuals who are passionate about our environment to our campus to share their knowledge with our students. The overarching goal of this event is to inspire students in grades 1–8 to become more mindful of how their choices and actions impact the Earth.
This year, we would love to expand our offerings to include astronomy.
I am writing to inquire whether someone from your association would be interested in coming to our campus that morning to give a presentation on the night sky. If willing, you would set up a station on our lawn and be visited by four groups of approximately 20 students each. Each group would spend about 20 minutes with you before rotating to another station.
Please let me know if this is something you would consider. I would be happy to speak with you and share additional details about the event.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Meg Lassalle, mlassalle@mystpcs.org
