Free and open to the public star party! Members of BSAS bring telescopes, everyone gets to share the view. Layer up for winter star parties, a good rule of thumb is to dress for 20 degrees cooler than the actual temperature. The winter sky welcomes two planets, bright Jupiter and not nearly as bright Saturn. The Great Orion Nebula and the Pleiades star cluster are also available for looking at visually, with binoculars or through a telescope. All ages are welcome.
