It's Astronomy Night at Cape Lookout.
We will begin with a cruise to the lighthouse with public stargazing. Brandon Porter, a NASA Solar System Ambassador will present a laser-guided night sky program. Tickets are required for the cruise. They may be purchased at the ferry office.
The cruise leaves at 7 PM; passengers must arrive by 6:30 PM.
Public stargazing begins at 8 PM. The sunset is @ 7:12.
Our telescopes will also be set up behind the visitor's center for viewing the night sky.
You may want to bring a chair, a jacket, a red light flashlight, and bug spray.
Please no pets, and no flash photography.
