The Jon Wood Astronomy Field will be available for the public to observe the solar eclipse today. No program is planned.
The eclipse will be a partial one at our location, with 83% of the solar disk obscurred. Bring your solar safety glasses (ISO rating 12312-2), pinhole viewers, properly shielded telescopes or cameras. Do not look at the sun without safety-rated eclipse glasses for your eyes or solar filters for your telescopes or cameras! Even a partially-eclipsed sun can cause serious eye and equipment damage.
