Abstract:
You may have seen news that the shortest day since measurement began 50 years ago was recorded on July 29. Tony Rice will join us to share some theories about why the Earth's rotation, which has been slowing for melania, recently began speeding up along with a primer on the many time scales and how they are correlated. We'll start with an update on the latest from the James Webb Space Telescope.
