The Cincinnati Observatory celebrates the universe with an all-day (and all night) open house called ScopeOut.
In the afternoon we’ll have, classes, educational materials for teachers, kid’s space crafts and hands-on science activities, safe viewing of the Sun, swap table, meteorites, tours of our historic buildings and science exhibitors and vendors from around the region.
In the evening, we have a dinner under the stars including keynote lecture by Dr. Colin Bischoff, University of Cincinnati Physics, who studies the universe from the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station, and nighttime viewing through the telescopes (weather permitting).
