Event

Star party at Mueller State Park Visitor Center Parking lot.

Venus is highest in the evening sky after Sunset, Mars is at it’s closest to Earth in 2 years, Saturn is setting and Jupiter is high in the evening sky not to mention all of the other winter celestial highlights that can’t be missed.

Join CSASTRO as we turn our biggest telescopes towards Mars to potentially view the polar ice cap(s) and some surface details that are only visible through our telescopes when Mars is closest to Earth. Venus will be a half-Moon shape and visible for about 3 hours after Sunset.

FREE hot chocolate, apple cider or tea (self-serve)

This event is weather dependent so watch this event posting for updates. If there are any cancellations we’ll make those no later than 24 hours prior to the event.
