Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We celebrated Pi Day by taking a tour of Lockheed Martin to view the Orion rocket capsule that is being assembled at the Waterton Canyon in Colorado. What an impressive capsule! We were given VIP treatment and were allowed to view the capsule that is used for training astronauts. The purpose of this capsule is to insure that everything works before manufacturing the actual capsule(s) that will be used on Orion. No photos were allowed.
