Event

The Dudley Observatory will be helping out with public observing at Siena College's Breyo Observatory! This new 27.5inch research-grade telescope is the largest telescope in the Capital Region, and produces amazing views of the night sky. The public is invited to monthly open houses to look through the eyepiece and gaze at the stars. Students and Dudley Observatory staff/volunteers will also be operating smaller telescopes on the roof of Roger Bacon Hall next to the Breyo Observatory (depending on what you are observing, sometimes smaller telescopes actually provide a better view!). This Spring, the Dudley Observatory will be mounting the 14inch telescope on the roof of Roger Bacon as well.

Tickets to attend the open house are FREE and available on a first-come first-serve basis through eventbrite: www.eventbrite.com/o/siena-college-18918885618

All visitors must get a ticket for a certain observing time to attend the event and, due to fire code, tickets are limited. Tickets will become available about 1 month prior to the event (you can sign up for notifications via eventbrite). Open houses are cancelled if the weather is poor.
