Observe the stars, planets, nebula, and other night sky objects through a telescope at Copper Breaks!
From the moon to distant galaxies, and everywhere in-between, join park volunteers and staff on an exploration of the night sky. The lineup for the night will consist of a brief talk by volunteers and staff about the various features of the visible galaxies, planets, nebula, and stars with the opportunity to view some of these through a telescope.
Bring: drinking water, bug spray, and a chair or blanket. Seating is not provided.
Meet: Dark Sky Viewing Area, at the Equestrian Trailhead.
Program is free with paid park entrance fee or Texas State Park Pass. This program may be cancelled due to inclement weather or unforeseen reasons.
