For good luck and prosperity, join us as we dance the night away, laugh with comedians, and be wowed by a Chinese Lion Dance, tarot card readings, and fun surprises.

Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had a great turnout at an igNITE event, after an invitation from the Chrysler Museum of Art. With a total turnout of over 750 guests, we setup static displays, handouts, and a large telescope in "Mary's Garden." Justin Mason - a club member and the Director of the Old Dominion University Planetarium - talked to visitors about the Moon and invited them to touch a meteor fragment. Bruce Powers showed off the power of a SeeStar S50 smart telescope, Shawn Loescher dispensed Hubble images and planisphere kits and assisted Jeremy Mitchell in showing Jupiter and the Galilean moons to attendees through a 12" dobsonian.
