A solar eclipse is coming and you have an opportunity to help collect data. The information you collect will assist researchers understand how an eclipse impacts the ecosystem by listening to changes in your environment.
An exciting Citizen Science project called Eclipse Soundscape will build on data collected in the early 1900s.
Join us to learn about solar eclipses and how you can be part of this exciting program. There will be a follow up meeting on April 4th for those individuals that have completed the Soundscape training. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy the outdoors.
In addition, the library has received an audio detector that will be set up to collect data. We hope as a community to collect as much local information as we can for this project.
