Join Susan Rolke and Raven Groblewski to learn about the April 8th Solar Eclipse.
This April presents an exciting opportunity to see the Sun eclipsed by the Moon. The next solar eclipse visible from the US will be in 2044. The presentation will have visuals and hands on models of the Earth and Moon to help individuals understand why an eclipse does not occur every month.
Information on where to go to experience a total eclipse and what to expect will be provided. Susan will share her experience from 2017.
Various methods on how to indirectly project the image of the eclipsing Sun will be discussed as well as Citizen Science Projects.
Susan Rolke is an educator and member of Keene Amateur Astronomers.
Raven Groblewski is an student at Franklin Pierce University majoring in Environmental Science.
