Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
It was a nice gathering despite the weather, we were under tornado watch with pouring down rain. There were several teenagers available who were helpers with this event, which was awesome. I gave a presentation about the Apollo Missions for about 15 minutes. There were 5 stations with fun activities for the guests. They could make their own planet with a foam ball, make craters with rocks and flour, phases of the Moon using cookies, experience the difference your weight would be on the Earth then the Moon, then assemble blocks with gloves to experience how an astronaut would have to work with their gloves. I had some images of several lunar craters in 3D on display with 3D glasses. They all enjoyed those.
