Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We touched on many things related to the Moon and Apollo missions. Setting up the Moon banner and marking with post-a-notes the locations of the Apollo manned landing sites was a hit. Using the scale model of the 4" Earth and 1" Moon 10' apart helped the public with the visual of how far the Moon is from the Earth. This event was scheduled for an hour, but the visitors wanted more. It's always fun to have my toy box along to help answer more questions the public comes up with. Even in the rain you can still have an astronomy event. We even talked about the OSIRS-REx, DAWN, and Star Dust Missions.
