Members of the Lima Astronomical Society, Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District, and The Neil Armstrong Museum will host the annual Perseid Meteor Shower watch party at Kendrick Woods.
Bring a blanket and/or a lawn chair and just lay back and enjoy the meteors streak across the night sky. There will be telescopes to view objects in the night sky with informational handouts of various subjects including meteors.
Last year there were over 100 people and 5 telescopes at this event. The Moon was not a problem last year and will be before first quarter this year.
