Free Public Program starts at 7:00 PM folllowed by the Regular Business Meeting starting about 8:30 PM (open to public)
PROGRAM
Dr. Jennifer Sieben, associate editor of Physics Today, will give a presentation on her latest articles.. This will be Jennifer's second time presenting to LCAS. This is sure to be a very educational and informative talk. The talk along with Q&A will be live streamed at the Volo Bog. LCAS Members will be able to join remotely via Zoom.
Afterwards LCAS members will show guests the night sky through powerful telescopes (weather permitting). Please join us.

Instructions for the Public:
The free public program will start at about 7:00 PM p.m. Visitors are also welcome to attend the business meeting that starts at 8:30 p.m. Light snacks and drinks will be available. Children are welcome. After the program, if the weather permits, members of the club will set up telescopes in the parking lot for some viewing of the night sky.

Volo Bog
Volo Bog was dedicated as an Illinois Nature Preserve in 1970. Three years later, it was registered as a National Natural Landmark with the United States Department of the Interior. More than 1,100 additional acres of land have been purchased to protect and enlarge the state preserve, which now includes marshes, prairie restoration areas, woodlands and two other bogs.
Notes:
