Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The park was set up with many tents for this weekend’s dragon boat regatta races. There was enough space though for us to set up our equipment. We had 6 members out and 3 telescopes and binoculars for the approximately 30 visitors that showed up. In spite of a light layer of clouds we were able to show a nice 3-day old crescent Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and point out a number of guidepost stars. At the end of the evening, we were treated to a nice Starlink satellite train directly overhead from an earlier SpaceX launch.
