Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had 34 guests and 13 (or 14) lowbrows attend. Despite the terrible smoke we had a good open house. The lights did not turn at the Radio Observatory, yay for small victories. We couldn't see Polaris, so polar alignment was very difficult. Star hopping was very difficult The moon was a good target with lots of shadows. Mars, M13, and M51 were fair, despite the low contrast Club members assisting were: Don Fohey Jack Brisbin Jim Forrester Joe Archbold Dmitri Ken Cook David Cook Adrian Bradley Fred Schebor
