Event

At 7:30 pm, members and non-members will have an opportunity to tour the facility as well as view through the 20-inch Kohl telescope, weather permitting.

The Martz-Kohl Observatory houses one of the largest public robotic telescopes in the Northeastern United States.  On Open Observatory Nights, the public is welcome to come and tour the facility.  If the evening sky is clear, the telescopes will be used to view the celestial sphere.  The observatory can be contacted at (716) 569-3689.  More information can be accessed at the observatory website, martzobservatory.org.

The observatory is located at 176 Robbins Hill Rd., Frewsburg, NY.  The Martz-Kohl Observatory is an all-volunteer, non-profit association [501(c)3] and does not charge for admission, although a non-member donation of $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child or student is appreciated.

NOTE:  Although the classroom is heated, the observatories are not.  Dress warmly because you will be on the next to the highest point in Chautauqua County.
