Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Finally a decent sky. Unfortunately, being a holiday weekend, turnout was low. Only eight t at the planetarium show and maybe 25 at the five telescopes. The people did enjoy looking at what we showed them and they were impressed with our explanations of what they were seeing. Since I had an eVscope I could show galaxies and things others could not. One problem is that our observing area has been reduced because the Park Service wants to use more of the area for nature, This could be a problem if many more people came. We'll see.
