The annual small telescope star party is this Saturday, August 20 at the Harrington Beach State Park parking lot near the Plunkett Observatory. It begins at dusk.
The rules are simple: No telescopes larger than 6 inches of aperture are allowed, and no binoculars. You'll be surprised at what you can see with a small telescope.
