First Friday public viewing night at Arbor Gardens Park.

Any one interested in Astronomy is invited! We'll have knowledgable folks to answer questions about viewing the universe, and will have telescopes for people to view the sun, during the summer months, then later, the night sky.

Weather permitting. Please check on the forum, linked above, to ensure we will be holding this event. If we have to cancel on the First Friday, we'll try again on Saturday, for First Friday on Saturday!

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Liz came out to see us tonight. She had heard about the OKC astronomy club online… and had a task for us. Some kids she had taught, had a star named after her… and she wanted to know if we could find it for her. She had the RA and Declination numbers on her “certificate of ownership”… so we gave it a shot…this is as close as we could get. We let her take the picture herself, and air dropped it to her phone.
